Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across New York on weekdays. The owner welcomed us as we walked in and was very friendly. He talked us through the selection of pizza which all looked tasty. We selected the Margarita Pizza which was ‘next level’ great. The thin crust and fresh ingredients tasted amazing. As we sat and ate many regular customers were greeted by the owner who loves what he does- he really exhibits a passion for food and people which makes this spot one you’ll want to check out. I had an awesome experience. When I walked in, the employees immediately welcomed and attended to me quickly. The cheese pizza crust was soft and flavorful, cheese was fresh, and the sauce was savory. I added red pepper and garlic seasoning to it and you can taste both spices. They had the womans basketball team playing on the television and people were with their love ones laughing and enjoying their dinner. I didn't get to take pictures inside or in the dinning area, but it was a nice, comfy, and clean atmosphere.

The guys behind the counter were great! the atmosphere is casual but nice and clean! the Marguerite pizza was presented and looked beautiful! the crust was thin and crispy! my only complaint is that the sauce was Bland with a capital B. The Bland sauce took away from all the other positive aspects of Pomodoro in Highland,so I don't think I'll be ordering from there again. I feel badly because the people there were really nice

Food is always decent & honestly the service usually is too; however, tonight 12/18/25 the service was horrid! I placed the order & had my mother who was passing by with her dog that just had surgery, pick up the food. She called to ask nicely if anyone was available to bring the food to the car & explained that her dog just had surgery & she didn’t want to leave him in the car to panic. The woman on the other end huffed & told her “uuuuugghhhh you’re going to have to give us a minute” my mother said okay. Then two men came out to give the order to her, on their way back into the building the one man said to the other “wow she couldn’t have come inside to get the food herself”. When she told me this I called the to speak to the owner. I told him that my mother paid $130 for the food, we are regular customers that spend a decent amount every time we go there & especially over the last 5 years & he responded that he did not like that I made a remark of how much was paid followed by a complaint. I guess Pomodoro’s is rolling in money & $130 is a very minimum amount to him. He told me he was sorry for the experience but he can’t control what others say/do & he even went as far as telli
